A hidden gem in a bustling city. I have been buying my coffee beans from here for almost 3 years now. In my opinion they have the best coffee beans, excellent customer service, and fair prices. I buy the 5 lb Guatemalan full city roast and it lasts me a month. I’m a big coffee drinker and I love that they are locally roasted and support organic and fair trade initiatives. Way better than commercial stuff that is found in grocery stores. I recommend buying from here to all my friends and family.
When I met my husband, he introduced me to Alternative grounds. We would travel westward there via TTC. That was since 1998 , and we have never had better coffee. We always enjoy medium roasts. Now we get delivery to our home. Staff always friendly and helpful. We love the selection and their business model. Keep the caffeine coming.
Go here for the beans. Organic and fair-trade, and at a great price. Atmosphere is odd, but may be enjoyed by people who want a quiet place to do some writing. No opinions on the food or actual coffee made here, though!
