We had an amazing time at dinner today at Agi in Stouville - highly recommend this very unique and interesting fusion with Mediterranean style cuisine. We had a.grewt young lady helping us, Lexi or Alexandria to determine first the right white wine,.Frascati to accompany our mains , BBQ chicken and Spanish paella like seafood dish...for starters we began with the Chefs signature brussel sprout dish ...one of.my hated veggies just became transformed as of by the Chef Agi' a magical touch into a dish with maple syrupy flavour with subtle bacon bits and nuts and fried to the point where it melts so succulently as we savoured every spoonful!! They paella was scrumptious and the chicken was not your usual BBQ - more Peri Peri and tangy with a good quarter chicken supported by asparagus, long broccoli and mash potato with bacon bits. Absolutely delicious! Then the exquisite creme brulee and amazing pear soaked in syrup accompanied by candied pecans and berries and biscotti crumbs and cream. Perfect ending !!
Excellent service akin to Toronto fine dining. Food just okay as tried crab cake special (minced crab - not lump as we enjoy), steak tacos (good but steak room temp and hotter = better), Spanish rice (seafood overcooked and chewy, especially calamari) and chicken (well executed, nice touch on mash potatoes country style).
We really enjoyed our experience at Agi We ordered a lot of food and finished legit every plate and dish We both are in the industry and know what proper hospitality is Our server Matthew really gave us a personalized experience and made us feel seen and heard We live down the street from here and have to say there is nothing nicer and fairly priced around. Thank you Agi for being the only gem in our neighbourhood :)
From the moment we walked in, the experience was absolutely amazing! The young man who greeted and served us was warm, welcoming, and attentive, which clearly showed that great service is a priority here. The food was outstanding. Every dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. You can tell the kitchen puts real care into what they serve. Whether it was the appetizers (like the fried Brussels sprouts), the mains (such as the seafood pasta), or the dessert (the house-made crème brûlée), everything was consistently delicious. The space is inviting and comfortable, with the perfect balance of energy and relaxation. The lighting, music, and overall vibe created an excellent setting for our meal. Overall, this restaurant hits all the marks: excellent service, exceptional food, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended—I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
Finally decided to try this restaurant after some have recommended it after dining in, and I will never be placing a delivery order again. Prior to ordering I placed a call simply inquiring on whether they put a tamper sticker on the package or staple it shut for deliveries. She gentleman with a strong accent answered the phone and was quite combative and refused to. I was really shocked considering this is quite standard, especially since the pandemic began. He spoke to me as if I asked a bizarre question, and said whatever other restaurants do is what they do, they don’t do that. The attitude was very off putting. I ended up asking again and related my shock at his response, and he finally said they would put one. I’m not sure why his attitude was necessary when they clearly have stickers that they put on the package, as evidenced by what I received near the handle of the package. After this experience I won’t return and will tell others the same.
Service and location was great. Nice decor and great for dining in a cool, small town vibe. Food was nothing to write home about. I dont think the flavors blended well, the tacos were bland (steak and fish). It was OK as in you could probably make it at home. Maybe the other dishes were great that i didnt try.
The food was exceptional and the service was a 10. If you want to experience something special, then try this place and you will be back. We have been here twice in one week. Keep up the great work AGI team. Thank you.
