This review has been a long time coming. I was in a pinch and needed a 4" x 6" for my daughter's swing set. as you can imagine, this isn't a piece of lumber that is readily available. I knew the best place to get it was Century Mill. I went over there, spoke to Bryan and he told me they had tons of them. The problem for me was that although the wood that they carried was 4 x 6 it would need to be milled down to 3.5" x 5x5" in order for it to fit the brackets for the swing set that I had purchased. Bryan assured me that they could get this milled to the correct size. I left the bracket there for him and the team so they could get the wood to be a perfect fit. Bryan said it would take a little bit of time since they were busy but I understood. As any father knows - patience is not something that kids have - my daughter was super anxious about her new swing set. I called Bryan and explained the situation to him and they were able to move some things around and get the wood milled and ready for me the same day! Awesome service and amazing execution. I couldn't be happier with the product, the service, and the entire team at Century Mill Lumber - definitely the ONLY place I will ever go for my lumber needs. Thanks a lot.
Very accommodating - we drove across the city to purchase a trim board - new kind of purchase for us - we did not know that we could order it and they would have it ready - we spent about an hour in their vast yard - choosing the piece, paying for it and taking it back to have it milled - the day before the long weekend no less! Great experience dealing with Bryan. The cedar I ordered was a little red for my liking. Bryan had it picked up and replaced with western hemlock no questions.
Very friendly, hardworking and innovative crew. They stock and ship all different species and sizes of wood. They'll ship it anywhere too. Of course you have to pay. If you don't buy it they won't ship it.
After searching several Rona, Home Depot and Home Hardware outlets I finally found the best lumber outlet in GTA! I'm re-building a worn out shed into a 3 season garden room and was looking for long life exterior wood siding, cedar trim and interior finishing wood. Century Mill had everything! Chris Black has lots of product knowledge and construction experience and the advice he shared was very helpful. Oh, and they deliver too - even to cottage country!
